RECORDING

Analog is Back! – Now the “hit sound” of analog tape is available with the ease of digital editing! Your music can be recorded to analog tape on its way to Pro Tools using the revolutionary CLASP system inside our Studio A.

AcousticsStudio A’s live room was designed by Wes Lachot to perfectly capture desired sounds for all genres. In this world-class studio, you’ll never worry about inside or outside disturbances in your recordings, like hearing the AC blowing, sirens, or even thunder and lightning. Simply set up and track anywhere in the 600 sq ft live room (you won’t hear any bass buildup), where you can stay focused without interruptions.

An excellent sounding room helps achieve a great recording, which in turn greatly reduces time spent mixing and mastering.

Vocals – Fully expect excellent vocal recording quality, with our selection of the finest vintage and boutique microphones and pre-amps.

Drums – We specialize in the most difficult instrument to capture: the drums! With over 50 pieces of drum hardware and classic mics to capture your desired sound, pro drum techs to set it up, and a world-class studio built and designed to capture the best drum sounds!

Piano – Our Yamaha C6 Grand Piano is praised by a number of world-renown musicians for it’s “beautiful tone” and “great action”. It is tuned regularly and kept always in an air-conditioned room.

Independent? -Need a CD for commercial release?  We know how to get the best quality out of your budget.  Bands or solo artists needing to record great sounding drums, piano and more, look no further than Clear Track!

Need studio B? This is our ProTools HD ready room with a comfortable-sized iso booth, great for tracking professional vocals, overdubs and much more including full-scale song production. It also serves as a great editing and mixing suite.

MIXING

Our mixing engineers specialize in today’s most popular genres and do analog, digital “in the box”, or hybrid mixing.

Mixing music professionally is a highly skilled art, and while the recording process is important, it’s the mixing engineer who adds the final touches to the artist’s vision. When you have all the separate tracks of the song recorded and would like a commercial release, professional mixing is necessary to blend the instruments together to achieve a good balance of your song elements and improve sound quality. A good mixing engineer uses his studio control room as his greatest tool when mixing. Clear Track’s Studio A control room was designed by Wes Lachot to be one of the best mixing rooms on the East Coast.

MUSIC PRODUCTION

What’s behind a successful music career? It all starts with music production. When solo artists or bands contact us with a project in mind, we find out more about their goals and then may introduce them to one of our accomplished producers to help their project vision come to life in the studio. Our many producer’s specialize in pop, rock, hard rock, alt, indie, hip-hop, blues, jazz, and most other genres. (For further information about music production, please contact us.)

A producer understands the creative needs of the artist and helps oversee the songwriting, arranging and rehearsal process called pre-production, as well as managing the audio engineering, the artist’s performance, sound choices, editing, mixing and mastering. The producer keeps everything sounding as it should, by understanding what’s needed in the material and how to get it, thus allowing the artist to focus on performing and the engineer on running the equipment.

MASTERING

We do analog and digital mastering. The enhancements of a professional master will polish your final mix and give it the impact and competitive edge needed for a commercial release. After the final mix is mastered, it will not only sound great in the studio, but in everyday listening environments.

SESSION MUSICIAN SERVICES

If you need a guitarist, drummer, bassist, etc, to play on your project, we know of many talented session musicians from which to choose. Piano, violin, flute, congas, vocals and world-class drums–you name it, whatever the genre, we’ll help you get the sounds you need for your music at a suitable rate.
