Everything you could want from the classic “big studios era” combined with today’s fast, digital workflow and cutting-edge sound design technology is found in Clear Track’s Studio A. It’s streamlined analog-to-digital workflow allows engineer’s to achieve a quality of sound that has become almost lost in today’s “over-compressed”, fast digital world. You don’t have to skimp on quality to save on time and cost–the BEST of both analog and digital is here!
Studio A specs:
Built around an SSL 8000G+ console (former Record Plant)
Main monitor system: Dynaudio M3As, Chord SPA1032 amplifiers, and Avalon crossover, 5.1 equipped.
Outboard gear: Neve, API, Calrec, GML, Lexicon, Bricasti, Eventide, TC, etc.
Recorders: Pro Tools HD 10, Studer A827 2″ 24-track and Ampex ATR-102 1/2″ 2-track machines
Acoustics:
A wide sweet spot, extending from the engineer seat to the listening couch, eliminates guesswork and wasted time
during recording and mixing. This very neutral monitoring environment gives the perfect amount of natural ambiance,
with the help of side wall diffsorber trapping and rear wall RPG Diffractal diffusors.
Analog Recording Process:
Ever wondered how to capture the “fat, warm, analog sound” in today’s FAST digital world?
As to Clear Track standards, and at no additional cost, your music is recorded to analog tape on its way to Pro Tools,
instantaneously giving you the best of both worlds. Now the “hit sound” of analog tape is available with the ease of
digital editing! This is done via CLASP (Closed Loop Analog Signal Processor). However, for those who prefer the
digital sound, you can track straight to digital as well.
Check out CLASP in Mix Magazine.
